and you are surprised why?

I do not normally link to anything on CNN but was too lazy to look this story up on Fox (if, in fact, they are covering it) but for those of you - like me - who are basking in your ignorance of what a woman's virginity counts for.....guess the world will soon know. At least the U. S. will know what one young woman's is worth. If you read the story you will see that a young woman (22) is auctioning off her virginity.

Yes you read that correctly: her VIRGINITY. One of the lines in the story comes from a woman who runs a sex site on the internet that virginity can be "a burden" at some point -- wow, now there's a 'trusted news source' to go to for comment & this story concerns the fact the young woman claims she has a 3.8 million bid, from a guy in Australia but she has not closed the final price yet. She is doing this through a house of prostitution in Nevada (legal in that state) even though she lives in California. She also seems to follow the 60's mantra of 'if it feels good, do it' allowing that prostitution is not a problem with her even though this is certainly equivalent. She wants to be accepted for herself. Whoever that may be. What ever her thinking may be.

Get in line honey. EVERYONE wants to be accepted for themself. You are no different. You are simply paving the way for people to ogle you, devalue you, degrade you, decide that you are simply a waste. If your virginity is/was such a problem, then maybe you should have had sex with one of those exes you've supposedly talked to who support you in this. It's a stretch but so what?

Now we get to the central point for ME though: I was a feminist was back when it meant the equality of every person. Not the bastardized version being sold today that women are better than men or that color of skin has one whit to do with capability - it actually was a time when we women had to put up with male customers ogling us, hitting on us at work with little/no recourse other than to change jobs, a boss that promoted based on a guy being his buddy, less pay for the same job as a guy. We had to work twice as hard to be thought of as half as good at our jobs. And we did. We worked hard, fought hard, made inroads into corporate America.

And along comes this bimbo putting the struggle in jeopardy by her very acknowledgment that she is simply a piece of meat to be bought &  sold. She is selling herself.There is no pimp to blame. There is no crisis to blame. She simply wants money & this is a means to an end. Selling herself -- her very physical being -- will have consequences. After reading, rereading & rerereading the article, I realized it won't be anytime soon that she will understand that, no matter how much money she whores herself out for, it won't be enough to cover the fact she whored herself. She did it to herself. She will have to live with it.

Silly me! With 3 children - here's what I wish for each of them: that they are old enough to understand sex will involve very intense emotions; that the person they experience their 'first time' with will be someone who loves & adores & values the person they are. Ideally, I would like it if they wait until marriage, however, as they are older & more mature, they must make that decision on their own. I want them to be able to talk to me about making the decision & I hope & pray they will each be deeply, committedly in love with the person & believe there is a future for them together. Again, these are their decisions & I will certainly support them & love them & provide answers if they have questions. But, most of all, I want their first time to mean something more than a sales transaction or a drunken one-night stand. I want them to be as treasured for the person each of them is, as I know them to be: special, warm-hearted, caring, funny, fun, loving, kind. 

Some day, if she should ever have a daughter, I wonder if she will advise her to wait until later & then auction off herself as a whore also. What a legacy to pass on.

In a short period of time.....warp?

There are many who would have you believe that because a) Republican governor was elected in New Jersey & Virginia AND b) a Republican Senator was elected to replace Kennedy in Mass. we should all believe things are fundamentally changing in Washington, DC -- that by some miracle of miracles those in 'power' are suddenly going to hear the ground swell that has been since April 15th of 2009.

Not to rain on your parade.....but I sincerely doubt it. Right now, everySenator & Rep who is up for re-election is busy running around saying/doing "all the right things" to convince voters that they have HEARD, that they are LISTENING, that they are RESPONDING.

What these seasoned politicians are responding to/listening to/hearing is their seat being flushed down a drain & now is the time they (much like the POTUS) will say or do ANYTHING to get re-elected. As soon as that happens, they will return to business as usual.

During the 'process' they will try to convince you that what you have seen thus far is not REAL, that what you have seen has many INTERPRETATIONS, that what you the voter already know, is fundamentally WRONG about them. They will sing, dance, repent, pray, bow down at your feet & beg you to give them another chance.

My feeling is this: IF A REP or SENATOR HAS BEEN IN OFFICE LONGER THAN 2 TERMS, THEIR TIME IS UP. It is time to put in new blood. It is time to start over.

ALSO, if, during their last 'run for the roses' they made promises that they have directly/indirectly contradicted, it is time to cut them loose. If you have children, please explain to me how many times you will be happy about them LYING to you? Then apply the same standards -- nothing less -- to your Rep or Senator.

Remember as they promise, promise, promise: we had a lot of hope & change promises in the elections of 2008. We are now in a depression -- funded by tax dollars all the way into this abyss. We are now faced with a POTUS who can stand in front of his teleprompters & blame everyone from the Supreme Court to Bush (geez, that is SO old), to those nasty Republicans to tea party people (tea baggers as he has called us) to everyone except the one most important: HIMSELF.

Why does he bear no responsibility other than those named above not falling into line with his demands? I hold him very accountable. I believe the buck stops here -- at the White House where he has gathered many moneyed people like Soros & the fat-cat union leaders -- yet he bears no claim to responsibility. It is always someone else's fault.

As far as I am concerned, it IS his fault. It is his failure to lead in the war on terrorists, the closing of Gitmo, the enabling of terrorist trials in the U.S. for war criminals, the spending of money, the pork, the special interests.....the list is darn near endless.

So, remember as you receive calls, mail, emails, etc. -- the election will tell the rest of our country not so much about who we elect as who WE are that are doing the electing.

Are you up to the task of separating b.s. political jargon & reality? I hope & pray so. Our country is truly, honestly, completely at stake here.

AGAIN we are about to hear the potus stand up, read from his teleprompters & tell us peons how HE plans to engender job growth through GREEN jobs.

Has he bothered to read the papers regarding what happened in Spain when that country moved to GREEN jobs? For a short period of time, unemployment actually went down. For a short period of time. Then the jobs ended. The unemployment rate went way up AGAIN. And has stayed there. The jobs have been shown to take permanent jobs away from the private sector as well as reducing output. Then you add in the burdensome costs these GREEN JOBS added to every single family. There are major scientific & financial reports available for everyone to read. Simple enough to find on the internet & I am certain these people in the the administration already have them.

Does this mean that none of the potus' advisors can read or that they simply are choosing to ignore the reports? How about our (supposed) representatives in congress? Surely of 435 house of reps plus their staff members & 100 senators plus their staff members -- surely someone can read & comprehend what is imminently comprehensible to us simple peons.

Or am I expecting too much from those 2 branches of government?

Is there any hope any more that any of those in Washington are actually looking out for us?

Time off....

Yes, it's true I needed time off from my blogging, however, the reality is that I have been busy flying back to Wisconsin, going thru rounds of tests at the U of Mn Hospital to make sure the melanoma hasn't returned (it hasn't), found that I do have bronchitis - time for antibiotics! Good news from Mark Reding, my Oncologist! Thanks to the staff, the team of docs & the care, AND MOST IMPORTANT, all the prayers, I am still going!!! 

About life...enjoyed seeing all 3 of my kids over Christmas break. Bear came back from college, Fred came home from his study-abroad in Spain, Taylor was able to come up from Dallas & work from home. The older they get, the more precious the time is because there will come a day when 1 or more are not able to be home for Christmas. They have all headed back (2 to college, 1 to job) to their lives. So, for now I am grateful they were here & am blessed to have the family time!

Now, on to politics. Are you keeping up? Me? sometimes yes, sometimes no. Quite frankly, I could not care less about the Tiger Woods story if you paid me. He & his family have to deal with whatever is going on at their home & in their lives -- I do NOT need to know. It it, quite frankly, none of my business! So, why in the world is there so much reporting on it? Another idiotic move on the part of so-called journalists. Enough already!!! The same goes with the Kardashians or any of the 't.v.' celebs -- I DO NOT CARE. Stop trying to create news from gossip & garbage. 

Start reporting on things like the Navy SEALS who are to be court-martialed because they did their job, brought in a much-sought after terrorist & now the terrorist is claiming abuse because he had a split lip? How insane is all this? The terrorists know all they have to do is cry 'abuse' & the tables turn. Is anyone surprised they do this with regularity? How anyone, especially in the military, could take this jerk seriously - put these 3 SEALS  their families through hell - is beyond any comprehension. About our politicians....isn't it amazing they voted themselves nice raises, exempted themselves from their beloved 'health care reform' AND decided there will be no COLA (cost of living adjustment) for those on Social Security? Is there anyone, anywhere, who believes our politicians are working for the ordinary, everyday American? Every single one of those in politics need to be gone. If you continue to vote for 'your representative' because you think he/she is good, you need to rethink & do the research that will teach you that NO representative is worthy of being office. They all need to be GONE. I hope you have the guts to do what is right when it comes time to vote.

I am reading Going Rogue by Sarah Palin. Revile me if you want, but I admire the woman. She was an ordinary person & that is something (I believe) the press & the good-ol-boy network were not going to stand for...if she came into being politically without owing anything to PACs or groups or certain other politicians, then she had to be ripped & shredded. How dare an ordinary person run for office? Now, as I read her book & have listened to interviews since she was slaughtered by the mainstream media & the 'press', I can understand that they did not accomplish what they set out to do - destroy her. I like her for that. 

It is truly shameful that we as citizens, allow this garbage to happen. TVs should have been turned off mainstream channels with letters written to show WHY & the same with newspapers - they are hurting already, begging for the prez to rescue them, & all should have been canceled with letters to their board telling WHY. There was no fairness in the reporting or the interviewing. The current prez skated into the White House with no more vetting than is done for paper towel brands. He is a fraud, a liar, a cheat, a narcissist & will say or do anything to pretend he knows what he is talking about. Unfortunately, with him & the congress we have now, our debts will NEVER BE PAID OFF.


What scares me most is that my children are supposed to inherit a better world from me. That is not possible. They were bamboozled by the flash & the press & the 'instant' news. Now, unfortunately, they are beginning to see how much trouble their generation is in & are trying to figure out what to do about fixing it. My advice is to THINK BEFORE YOU VOTE. Investigate. Read. Talk to others. Listen to all candidates without prejudice of party. Then make a valid decision. Unless these things are done, don't bother to vote. Those who fell for the 'flash' are now sad that their own future is now a mess. They should have stayed home rather than vote for a pretender. Only now are they seeing that.

Left off some that a friend called me about:

• Bad Girls - some warped premise where a bunch of trashy, tacky, trash-talking, infantile females (I guess) live in a house & run around to different clubs getting drunk, more foul mouthed, more assinine than when they are in the 'house'. It's my understanding this is a premier show on the Oxygen network -- isn't that Oprah's business? Why would she even begin to think of promoting this garbage? Oh yeah....money. Never mind the question.
  
• Do not actually know the name of these but the premise as explained to me, is a bunch of trashy, slutty, bitchy females vie for the attention of some has-been rocker. Guess they are to become the 'love of his life'? sad if that is the best either can do.
• The Bachelor/Bachelorette where some guy/gal has their pick of females/males who (again, yawn) vie for his/her attention & the 'privilege' of being proposed to by the idiot the show centers on. As each is dropped, they profess their 'love' for whomever & go merrily along their way - getting paid, but just not the big payoff of the winner.
  
• Same as the above, but add in that the Mother of the bachelor/bachelorette helps pick out the 'winner'. From what I was told, there isn't much to choose from so what do you do? Pick the best of the worst? not a show I plan to see.
• Lost has something to do with people supposedly stranded somewhere & how they react & act. Mostly infantile, trashy, back-stabbing, bed hopping. 
• Full Throttle Saloon is supposedly about a saloon that makes it's yearly money during the Sturgis bike run. From the ads, mostly all I see is girls stripping in hopes of making money & not being raped on camera (I'm guessing about that last one). The owner whines continuely about money/lack of money. So? I'd rather see the bikes. Drunks acting stupid is a daily occurance around the world - show the motorcycles instead!
  

So, if you show up in one of these crappy, worthless shows, do you proudly call home to tell your parents & friends to watch as you strip, are fondled by strangers, act like a tramp, etc? If you wind up in a Girls Gone Wild video, do you call & tell parents to watch? How about Grandparents? Do parents, grandparents, family, friends - do they brag that their loved one is stripping in a video or note it in their Christmas cards?


I've always wondered how many who watch those shows wind up meeting those females in, say, an interview or at a party or simply at the coffee shop. Do you ask for their autograph? Do you ask for a date? Do you laugh & look away all the while planning on gossiping about it when you get to work or school?


Maybe there should be a new show: REACTIONS OF THE PARENTS/GRANDPARENTS/FRIENDS OF THOSE APPEARING IN _____________ SHOW. Just wait, there will be something like that coming to a channel near you.


Watch the weather channel or Fox News. Or better still, talk with your children & really listen to them for a change, read a book, volunteer, clean out your sock drawer.

These things are all a better use of time.

GIGO - garbage in, garbage out

I am amazed at the absolute trash passing for television programs these days. Here are just a few of the examples & if you haven't have the stomach to check them out, 2 or 3 minutes with each should bring you up to speed.

• The Girls Next Door puts several (4 or 5) Playboy bunnies on display while they are living with Hugh Hefner. It's a sad state of the world when this is what women who (like me) fought for equality way back in the 70's - that THIS is what we have wrought. The 'girls' squeal about flying off to some place with Hefner & then are tacky about some European 'bunnie' taking off her thong in front of cameras/reporters. These girls are shocked. Seriously? you bare your entire body (oh, I forgot to use the word 'tastefully' for a spread in Playboy magazine & then something shocks you? give me a break. Parents get in on the act too as they visit at the Hefner mansion & 'support' their daughter's choices. Again, I ask: are you SERIOUS?
  
• America's Next Top Model combines a group vying for a modeling contract along with the sex, bad manners, trash talk about each other, anger, rudeness, tacky behavior all around. And don't forget the sex as models sleep around &/or with each other.
  
• Top Chef - see the above but substitute the word 'model' with 'chef'.
• Culinary Academy (I think that is the name, but it may be something similar) - see the above & add in that these are supposed 'students' learning to become chefs.
• Families are put on display with such regular vulgarity as: Wife Swap, somethingsomething with the Llamas, the name escapes me but some show with a hasbeen actor from the original Brady bunch, & especially anything to do with the Kardashians, the Hogans, the Osbournes. All of these - even with only a few moments spent with each show - makes me wonder why Hollywood strives to portray Southerners as backward, trashy, trash-talking, crude, nasty people. The above mentioned people worship at the altar of money & quite frankly, I'd rather watch some redneck family living in a trailer than any of the above mentioned 'families'. The 'families' put on display are disgusting, rude, nasty, hateful, demanding, crude, any word you can think of that is negative & it fits.
  
• Others that you probably know of -- let me know. These are just the ones I have seen for a couple of minutes. Unfortunately, I think there are many more out there similar to these.
  
• Last, but not least about shows: STOP TELLING ME HOW FUNNY SOMETHING/SOMEONE IS. I am speaking specifically of the George Lopez show. I don't know if it's any good & probably will never find out. I am so sick of the ads for it that by the time it began recently, I had decided that if the tv people have to pound into me that a show is funny, it's not going to live up to the billing. I can see advertising - but stop telling me how funny/dramatic/spine tingling/harrowing/amazing/wonderful/crazy/?? a show is....I don't need YOU to try to direct my emotions or experiences. If the show is so damn weak that you have to hammer a point, then you need to re-think your premise.
  

There are no morals anymore on television. Maybe there never were & I am only now discovering this because I have more time to watch. All along, I have tried to steer my own children away from programs that I found objectionable & now I wonder if parents even do this anymore. Heck there is even a tv program for you to park your young child in their rocker seat (so a few months, not walking yet) in front of a tv & it will teach them to read. What happened to reading aloud to your child? Exploring books together? I can remember when each of my children got their own library card, how proud they were & how fun it was to see what they picked out to read. And, yes, they also picked out videos for us to watch as a family. TV was not a babysitter at our house.


So, I find I stick to the law & order type shows simply because they recognize there is good & bad in everyone. For the most part, they are interesting & informative with all the new advances in technology in catching criminals. 

What I simply cannot understand is this: programs get shown based on revenue earned by advertising. Are companies so incredibly bloodless, greedy, stupid & uncaring that they are happy to advertise on these shows? Someone must be fronting the money for the shows.


So, it is way past time, but not too late for viewers to jump on the internet & write a quick note to an advertiser to tell them how little they support their ad buys. Tell the advertiser that you plan to do business elsewhere & then follow through. This gets their attention pretty fast. OneMillionMoms.com & OneMillionDads.com are good sources of information regarding the abysmal quality of tv programming.

Remember: you are not alone. There are many who would rather watch a program that involves paint drying than watch the ones I have listed above. Actually, reading a good book (even a bad one) is preferable to watching bad television. It will change, but only with your help!

If a conservative doesn't like guns, he doesn't buy one.
If a liberal doesn't like guns, he wants all guns outlawed.

If a conservative is a vegetarian, he doesn`t eat meat.

If a conservative sees a foreign threat, he thinks about how to defeat his enemy.
A liberal wonders how to surrender gracefully and still look good.

If a liberal is homosexual, he demands legislated respect & special privileges.

If a black or Hispanic person is conservative, they see themselves as independently successful.
Their liberal counterparts see themselves as victims in need of Government protection and call a conservative an "Uncle Tom".

If a conservative is down-and-out, he thinks about how to better his situation.
A liberal wonders who is going to take care of him.

If a conservative doesn't like a talk show host, he switches channels.
Liberals demand that those shows they don't like be shut down. 

 

If a conservative is a non-believer, he doesn't go to church.
A liberal non-believer wants any mention of God and religion silenced.
(Unless it's other than Christianity, of course!) 

 

If a conservative decides he needs health care, he goes about shopping for it, or may choose a job that provides it.
A liberal demands that the rest of us pay for his.

If a conservative slips and falls in a store, he gets up, laughs and is embarrassed.
If a liberal slips and falls, he grabs his neck, moans like he's in labor and then sues. 

If a conservative doesn't like a politician, they vote for someone else.
If a liberal doesn't like a politician, they look for 'dirt' to smear them & embarrass them.

 

If a conservative goes to a rally such as a Tea Party, they recognize there will be others there whose opinions differ & that's okay because this is America.

If a liberal goes to a rally they expect everyone to agree with them otherwise they deserve to be shouted down and/or physically threatened and/or attacked. 

If a conservative  reads this, he'll forward it so his friends can have a good laugh.
A liberal will delete it because he's "offended". (Or reply with complaints reasoning why this is not funny or ironic!)

 

So....which one are you?

TIME TO WAKE UP AMERICA

Just curious: a recent poll showed that over 50% of those polled want EVERY politician thrown out of office. HOWEVER, the same poll showed that approximately 50% want THEIR representative re-elected.

ARE YOU PEOPLE INSANE????

HOW DO YOU THINK WE GOT TO THIS MESS WE ARE IN RIGHT NOW????

HOW DO YOU THINK WE WILL EVER RECOVER AMERICA WITH THE SAME IDIOTS IN CHARGE????

It is very simple: throw ALL the bums out. 

FORCE every single newly elected official to stand for what they promised in their campaigns or FORCE them OUT.

TERM LIMITS must be imposed. For EVERY office. NO EXCEPTIONS.

RESTRUCTURE THE PAY/PERKS/LIFETIME PENSIONS that our so-called 'representatives' have voted for themselves. Do YOU get a full-pay pension plus all perks including 'gold-plated medical care' after a few years at YOUR job? Oh, wait....that's if you even still HAVE a job....

It is well-past, but not too late, time the American people WAKE UP & make the hard changes. Yes, you may personally like YOUR representative but realize that he/she is tied into the Washington DC power-structure these people have created for themselves. How else do you explain your representative going to Washington DC as an ordinary citizen & becoming a millionaire within a few years? All on a salary of less than $200,000 per year. 

WOW! They must have some amazing financial planners. But you & I - ordinary beings that we are - do not have access to either their financial planners or to their sources of extra income. So, you tell me -- did you vote for them to REPRESENT YOU or to ENRICH THEMSELVES? 

TIME TO CLEAN HOUSE & SENATE & JUDICIARY. If anyone is an incumbent, get rid of them. Period. End of discussion. If the newbie is no good, throw them out after one term. THE POINT IS TO CLEAN UP THE MESS.

They talk & discuss & argue & lie & cheat - then they excuse themselves & each other. Enough is enough. 

I AM MAD AS HELL & I AM NOT GOING TO TAKE IT ANYMORE.

WAKE UP AMERICA. If you sleep through all the alarms going off now, you will deserve to be ruled by those who will tell you every move in your life.

Last thought: if the GOVERNMENT is going to decide what each person 'needs', tell me what they will decide for those who think it's nothing to spend $6,000 for a pair of jeans or $2,000 for shoes? Who decides who gets to spend that kind of money (think Hollywood sleazes) while you will be told to buy YOUR clothes at a thrift store?

Long but very worth reading

Because Deborah has given permission to post the following, I am hoping that you will take the time to read it. She makes extremely good points especially in light of what has happened here in Texas at Ft. Hood, then in our nation's capital on Saturday. Both events are sickening...for completely different reasons -- but both events are cause for every American to pause & rethink priorities. If you are not actively engaged in politics, you had better change that. If you are not religious but believe in a higher power, please think of the families & soldiers, as well as the community at large at Ft. Hood who desperately need prayers from your heart. I believe "Expect Miracles"....may you come to that also.

Absolute power corrupts absolutely and frankly the actions taken against the American people in the past year have resulted in too much power already.  What was being carried out in secret is no longer.  Our domestic enemies have crawled out of their ratholes and have been emboldened by their successes.  They rely upon the faith of our people that everything will be ok; that all will settle down and get back to normal.  Even the ‘normal’ of recent history is unacceptable as it led to so much tragedy for our country while too many people ignored the signs and symptoms.   A few elections and it’s all business as usual?  Not this time.  We did not start this.  As Pelosi so adroitly revealed in her own words; this is the endgame and we don’t have much time.  The sham Healthcare Bill is their endgame and the other stuff they have in process along with that will leave us little room to move or recover.  Anyone who refuses to acknowledge what this power grab means and what sitting ducks we are now lives in the dream world of the old America.  After all I had learned in the past few years, the election results of 11/3/09 caused deep concern and depression because the writing was on the wall in big bold letters and there was no doubt what would happen in the coming months.  There is no mystery now.  It does not matter who’s behind it or who’s paying for it; it only matters that we unite and give no quarter…no benefit of the doubt…no more playing nice…no more worry about offending anyone.  That is all counterproductive and naïve and has clearly not worked.  I don’t intend to wait quietly for the jackboots to kick down my door and haul me off to a gas chamber because I won’t comply and conform.  Fantasy or paranoia?  It happened before and it can happen again.  I can’t do much other than this sort of thing and striking up conversations everywhere I go.  There are others who want to talk about it and will engage.  I elevate the volume enough so everyone within earshot can hear and many engage in the discourse with strangers who feel as they do.  Anyone who shoots a nasty look or skittles away can go jump.  It is the responsibility of those who stay informed to get the facts out to people who know they are angry and confused, but don’t know where to look for information.  If I have intruded upon anyone…forgive me… d

Letter to our Government employees, Political Parties, the media and the American public:

This letter applies to the entities in our government and the political parties who have become nothing but a gang of thieves and liars and appeasers.  This goes out to Democrats, Republicans, Independents…career politicians, lobbyists, criminal corporations, agencies, courts, Texas officials and the rest who conspire together against our citizens and our Constitution, our laws and our Freedom for their personal gain.  I include your media pals who will turn on you when their ‘benefits’ dry up and there is nothing left to bail them out.; when their children ask why they did nothing to reveal what ultimately brought America to its knees.

What part of ‘Guilty’ do you people just not understand?  What part of WE the PEOPLE don’t you get?  When did you decide that Americans would not stand and fight once they realized the new Hitler Regime has installed itself in our country?   When the sleeping giant realizes their front door has been kicked in and everything they worked for and believed in is being carted out?  It’s embarrassing and nauseating to watch you people sit and cower in your seats and tremble while Obama, Murtha, Reid, Pelosi and their ilk behave as the Gestapo; silencing he half-hearted protests and barking orders, dispensing with protocol and legal procedure in Legislative committees and sessions while they smirk and thumb their noses at us all.  A few Representatives and wannabes ‘posture’ and sing whatever song they think we will buy.  They stand on stages and inspire the potential voters and then do nothing about the locked committee doors or the lack of inclusion by the ‘ruling’ party.  They play ball with our enemies at home and abroad in secrecy.  They are silent when our Constitutional laws are being ignored.  They don’t use the system of checks and balances or remedies that are supposed to prevent circumvention of our laws.

Once again, I received a plea for money and support from John McCain and his bogus ‘Country First Pac’ and it boggles the mind considering the unmitigated gall.  Country First?  What does that mean? If he or the Lying, obfuscating Usurper in our White House had stepped up to the podium and actually told the people who they are and what their ultimate plans were, few would have cast a vote or a supportive dollar their way.  After running a non-campaign in an obvious agreement to install the Usurper and his current Regime and even going so far as to undermine the best ally and asset he had if his intent had been to win, he thinks we are all stupid enough to support him.  The disrespect and attempt to harm Sarah Palin is indefensible.  She embodies the spirit of the Republican Conservative who loves America and our Constitution and she has a track record of undercutting the corruption that is rampant in our government; even when the corruption came from someone in her own Party.  John McCain wasn’t losing well enough, as planned, even with the attempt to disrupt the positive effect of Palin; so he started ‘campaigning’ for his opponent. Do you honestly think we can’t see that the Republican Party was behind the whole thing and working in tandem with what we believed was the ‘other side’?  It was nauseating to witness the complete refusal to expose the ‘Obama’ and all the praise offered him by our candidate.

Now, we have Bush Senior grinning and slobbering all over Obamao like a senile old woman.  Lifelong Republicans have to face the fact that our government is entirely corrupt and our Party is DEAD; nothing but spineless buffoons destroying our future with their liberal politics and/or their absolute refusal to adhere to their Fiduciary responsibilities.  WE don’t trust any of you.  WE are looking at individuals and determining what they have actually DONE to promote and uphold American laws and values, not what they say when begging for our votes and money.  You are all going to vote on behalf of the criminal lobbyists and corporations, big money contributors and, worst of all, the political money machine that is poised to rule the world…you have proven yourselves incompetent and untrustworthy.  McCain and other pseudo-Republicans will go the same way as Reid and all who have refused to secure our borders and National Security and push the rest of the Liberal Socialistic agenda with no regard for the citizens who work hard and pay their salaries.  McCain dilutes his own service to this country.  His time is over and he needs to step aside before we completely forget what he endured on our behalf or seriously question what it did to damage his sensibilities.

McCain and many of our spineless ‘representatives’ have played the ‘centrist’, the liberal Republican for far too long.  The productive, independent, patriotic backbone of this country has spoken and we are gaining in ranks.  We are coming together with citizens from all races, Parties and backgrounds to fight the likes of you.  My time, what little I have to offer and my efforts will go to those who speak up and tell the truth.  It will go to those who ‘act’ and who join us in our efforts to take back our country and preserve our Liberties…not some joke of a Party which no longer upholds our values.  It will go to individuals and not some political machine.  I receive pleas from the Republican Party for donations on a regular basis while Michael Steele whines about making a ‘mistake’ in supporting SCUZZYfova.  Mistake?  Huh?  The Republican Party knew who and what she was before they endorsed her.

The time for damage control is running out.  Too many government agencies are corrupt and working in the service of those entities who set out to bring down our economy.  Those who are not accepting money or other forms of compensation are obviously being threatened.  I’ve seen too much of this up close as have many other citizens.  How many of us do you think can be silenced?  How many of us do you think are going to accept this heinous ‘change’ you have foisted upon us in the dark of night with back room deals, pandering to illegal immigrants and their countrymen along with the parasitic entitlement society to secure fraudulent votes and thuggery at the polls?  You cannot fool the American public.  We see the installation of everything from miscreants who eschew America and our values to practicing Muslims, Communists, Socialists, filthy pedophiles and tax evaders in the illegal Administration that set out to consume and control the industry in our Nation.

WE came to D.C. in the millions to be heard and to leave no question in your minds regarding what we will put up with and what we will do to take this country back.  Arguably, there were over 3 million peace loving and hard working tax payers in D.C. or trapped on the freeways trying to enter and join the march in September.  WHERE WERE YOU on 9/12/2009? Most of you cowards, Republican and Democrat alike, and your staff were given the ‘day off’ and told to get out of town that Thursday and you ran. Only a few of you stood WITH US and spoke the truth from that stage.  WE traveled under hardship and from all corners of the world and you ran out of the city it was so hard for us to get to; some of you on our nickel in the luxury jets WE pay for.  By our very numbers, we represented many millions more and you know those statistics better than I.  We did not and do not ask for hand outs.  We did not march for reliance on government ‘parenting’.  WE came to tell you to get it together or get lost or we would throw you out on your ears along with the flop-eared fraud who is nothing but vomit on the floors of OUR White House.  He, his spawn, his spouse and his Regime of Czars are the putrid result of your neglect and malfeasance.

And now, you want us to buy into the attempt to ‘blame’ only the Democrats and this Administration/REGIME?  Are you out of your minds or do you honestly believe WE are?  Are you merely stupid or are you members of a criminal gang of thieves and murderers?   You have handed over our money and our Sovereignty to appease the entitlement society and the big contributors.  At some point, most of you became a member of the mob in the process.  You became nothing more or less than another parasite on the American Welfare System for life.  The only difference between you and the illegal immigrant or the massive number of people draining our system through welfare programs YOU created is that you write your own welfare tickets.  There is no difference between the Democratic Party and the Republican Party.

Most of you sold out and most of you participated directly in the destruction of our country and our economy.  Few have stepped up and stood up for America, our heritage and those who are dying right now to preserve everything we love and represent.  NONE of you have the guts to expose what you know and tell the whole TRUTH, the real truth about what is going on in secrecy.  In this day of communication, videos, pictures and testimony; we have enough information and more citizens by the day are beginning to learn and realize the nightmare many of you have in store for us.  Many of us are already living most of that nightmare and we know who is responsible for our pain and losses.

When did you decide to sell out yourself, your country, your children and the people who trusted you?  When did you make that first decision to ‘go along’ with the fraud and corruption?  What did you already have to hide or did you create your first act of deception and treason the first time you agreed to something in your political life that you knew was fundamentally wrong?  While you protect yourself, your pal, your corporate crony, your party, your powerful and moneyed contributor(s) from exposure; you participate in the annihilation of everything you vowed an Oath to protect.

You come begging to the very people who have nothing or little left on EMPTY PROMISES?!  You are disgusting, disreputable, dishonorable excuses for human beings…much less leaders.  If we set out today with honorable and  investigative entities, departments and prosecutorial officers who are entrusted and paid by US to uphold and enforce our existing laws…many of you, including the current probable fraud in the White House, would be in prison cells in short order along with your cronies.  You and they have conned, defrauded and stolen us into what is probably an irreversible pit of destruction and despair.  AND YET, here you are asking us for money and support!  YOU gave OUR money away and assisted in the loss of our jobs, our homes, our health and our property if by no other action than inaction.  Our RICO laws were enacted to stop what you all seem to be participating in on one level or another.  People like me and others who suffered from racketeering found that when local authorities and prosecutors and courts, judges and agencies could not be trusted; they were protected at state and Federal levels.  It is blatant ‘in your face’ corruption and we see the dead bodies that seem to pile up every time an effort is made to expose the criminals.

You refused to enforce our immigration laws, you refused to vet the Usurper, you refused to stand up when millions of us begged for at least two of you to question and expose what we all already knew and were powerless to act upon, you refused to put a halt to the bogus global warming scam and related global treaties, Cap and Trade (TAX), government intervention in our private lives and our personal medical care.  But, there you are in session refusing to read the bills or listen to one another’s speeches while you play solitaire, check sports scores and play on Face Book.  Impressive.  We will fire you for that, just as we would fire any employee on our payroll for negligence.

WE DO NOT WANT A NEW WORLD ORDER, GLOBAL ECONOMY, GLOBAL GOVERNANCE AND THE HITLERESQUE/MARXIST SOCIETY you are pushing or going along with to prevent exposure of your own trespasses.  Pelosi said it herself; this is the endgame, the un-Constitutional usurpation of our Liberty couched in legislation intended to fool the masses by calling it Healthcare.  That Bill is roughly 2000 pages of theft and racketeering and you think we will accept a compromise or two?  Even if you say no illegals will be covered, that only means you turn around and grant amnesty to the lot of them; including the possible illegal who managed to slither into our White House.  How can you compromise on a Bill you haven’t read, much less vote on it?  Burn it now and revisit it AFTER we have eliminated the waste and fraud that already exists, secured our borders and deported every last illegal and you can figure out how to put together a simpler version that actually benefits Legal citizens.  We won’t bow down to any government entity.  We won’t join other countries who allow some system of massive bureaucracies funded by massive costs stolen out of our pockets with lowlife government employees determining who can live and who can die…who gets the treatment they need or merely a pain pill and death counseling.  Counseling from another ill trained, incompetent government parasite?

By your desired definition and that of ‘Nappy-politano’, I would be labeled an extremist.  By the current Regime’s convenient definition I would be labeled a terrorist or some such in order to inter me in one of those camps we’ve all seen pictures and videos of.  But, the reality is this:  Most of you are the real enemies of our Nation working in tandem with those from other countries who want nothing more than to sink a saber in the backs of you and your children to rule the world.  I am a simple, hard working citizen who grew up learning history and respecting our system of laws.  A woman who wouldn’t park in a handicap spot out of laziness or convenience.  A woman who values the rewards and compensation earned from work and personal effort.   I am not a religious fanatic nor am I some activist freak with illusions of grandeur.  I don’t speak from a position of paranoia or dementia.  I have the experience, knowledge and proof to back me up and so do others.  I have history to guide me and the eyes and intelligence to see what is happening.  I believe in America and the Constitution and all the people who sacrificed everything to preserve it.  AND I am a voter.   AND I speak for MILLIONS of American Citizens who are doing their best to survive this catastrophe.

Extreme?  Would you be extremely angry if your personal life, finances, health and American Dream had been systematically destroyed by corporate criminals who were blatantly under the protection of every major policing, investigative, political and enforcement agency?  Would you be furious watching the same thing being done to your fellow citizens, who also begged for help and legal intervention even after you had tried to ring the bell and stop the train?  Would you find it hard to breathe when some of the criminals were finally exposed and yet they were gifted Billions out of our Treasury while people like me were left to twist in the wind and watch the people most responsible given positions of power, raises, promotions and crazy bonuses for jobs done badly or illegally?  Who would not be utterly incredulous when the same agency who tells you that your life is in danger because of your evidence and efforts to achieve justice and then informs you that another ‘deal’ has been cut with the corporate perpetrators and they have been set loose to continue their racketeering as usual and the public will not be informed; leaving millions of innocent people at the mercy of their continued fraud?  What does a lawful citizen, a victim do when that agency says a broad policy has been issued to keep those results secret and that FOIA requests will not be honored?

People like me should have been testifying before Congress.  We have and will continue to amass evidence that will see the light of day.

This mess is building to a crescendo while you all fiddle and try to hang onto the wealth and privilege you have attained in your quest for ‘royal status and aristocratic immunity and lifestyles’ at our expense and loss.  CAN YOU HEAR THE PEOPLE?  CAN YOU FEEL THE GROUNDSWELL?  WILL YOU HIDE IN YOUR BUNKERS OR JOIN THE PEOPLE OF THIS NATION WHO WILL NOT LIE DOWN AND SUCK IT UP AND CONTINUE TO WORK AND SUPPORT FRAUD, THEFT AND GENERAL MALFEASANCE WHILE THEIR DREAM IS REDUCED TO A PUFF OF PUTRID SMOKE AND THEIR LIVES HAVE BEEN INTRUDED UPON IN THE MOST PERSONAL AND PRIVATE ASPECTS?  When the people you depend upon have little left to lose, they will act out of desperation and self-preservation and we will all pay a horrific price for it.

Your private,’ members only’ game of Monopoly will come to a screeching halt one way or the other.  Do you really think we are going to allow you and your corporate cronies to take over and control what will add up to nearly 50% of our industry with the current  UnHealthcare legislation?  Do you really think we are going to be ABLE OR CARE to work and pay the taxes that you depend upon to fund your incompetence? Do you think Americans will work in chains and at the end of a whip or a gun?  WE are broke BECAUSE YOU idiots can’t manage a Dairy Queen, much less an entire country…or political Party.  You can’t even offer a half-million dollar ‘Save Wild Horses Bill” without adding another $ 650 Million in pork and welfare.  You’re so corrupt and derelict in your duties that you add Hate Crime legislation to the Military and Defense Bill in order to get that insane twaddle passed because it would not pass on its own.  If that is not extortion, I don’t know what is…yet you all practice it routinely.  If we are all working for the government or sitting on our fannies collecting welfare checks, how are you going to pay for your jets, parties and Gold Standard medical care?  Oh yeah, many of you have your bribery funds to tap into for the time being.  That is until the New World Order starts eliminating your jobs as well.

The scores of self-interested individuals and billions of dollars that you all circulate amongst yourselves and your conflicts of interest are not going unnoticed any longer and will not be tolerated.  We won’t cower in fear while this massive ‘Home Invasion’ minus (so far…anyway) the kicking down of our doors and the literal raping of our children continues.  There is no difference between the two ‘crimes’ and we demand exposure, prosecution and an end to this insanity.

Like the career criminal facing life in prison, you think you can apologize or blame someone else to sidestep your culpability?  Make promises without taking responsibility for your roles in this travesty?  Glory, wealth, privilege, authority, control, prosecutorial immunity is only temporary.  A remedial course in history will teach you that lesson.  Take a little time away from your computer games, money swaps, golf outings, elaborate parties, jet setting, gratuitous glad -handing and mutual back slapping and read a bit of World History.

To be clear:  I am not personally making sinister threats as I don’t have the means to carry out any threats you might imagine or attempt to accuse me of.  I am however exercising my right to tell the truth, speak my opinion and observe obvious facts and a ‘climate’ that is heating up in my country and it saddens me to acknowledge what I believe will eventually occur.  No matter what happens now, we have a lot of work to do.  The first of which is to remove most of you and hopefully prosecute a good number of guilty parties.  We will find a way through the grassroots efforts and involvement of so many Americans to bring our own candidates to the table and vote the bulk of you out of office as quickly as we can.  We can only do our best and hope our beloved Nation is not forced to follow the same route as our Founders due to our own government’s role in putting the apparent Muslim-in-Chief in charge and declaring war on the citizens.

After the horrific shootings of innocent citizens and military personnel by a Muslim who should have been apprehended based upon his actions prior to the incident, shouldn’t we all be concerned about this frightening sham of a  POTUS who was trained in the most devout Muslim schools and schooled relentlessly from childhood in Socialist/Marxist/communist philosophy and who sings the praises of Islam and gifts money to Muslim terrorist funds, spends years developing relationships with pedophiles, thugs, tax evaders, domestic terrorists and murderers, an America hating/vitriol spewing preacher and criminal community organizations?  Shouldn’t we worry about the installation of those people in influential, high paid government positions?  Shouldn’t we question how he attained his position and who helped him reach that status?  Shouldn’t we be a bit disconcerted over his and his minions’ mad dash to ram through one Marxist policy and law after another?  Why are our useless leaders and our courts sitting idly by while he spends more than $1.5 million to prevent turning over his birth certificate, college records and all the other pertinent information the American people have every right to see?  Shouldn’t we demand he stand aside, turn it all over, tell the truth instead of allowing him to behave as though he and he alone is so elevated as to be above the law and better than all former Presidents who were happy to prove their legitimacy?  Millions of Americans are still waiting for the answers to these questions that we have asked and our pseudo-leaders continue to dance around and refuse to even acknowledge.  Would those revelations be harmful or embarrassing?  More harmful than the long term damage that is already being done?  Do truth and our Sovereignty, our Freedom and our legacy mean less than protecting and assisting a liar and a probable fraud?

Jump to conclusions?  Give me a break.  How much more evidence do we need to come to the only possible conclusion about the current circumstances we are facing?

This is not partisan. Democrats, Republicans, Independents & anybody who has been in Congress for at least the last 60 years is culpable. This pretty well puts it all in perspective.

To the Congress of the United States of America:
 

• The U.S. Postal Service was established in 1775 - you have had 234 years to get it right; it is broke. 
• Social Security was established in 1935 - you have had 74 years to get it right; it is broke.
• Fannie Mae was established in 1938 - you have had 71 years to get it right; it is broke.
• The "War on Poverty" started in 1964 - you have had 45 years to get it right; $1 trillion of our money is confiscated each year and transferred to "the poor"; it hasn't worked and our entire country is broke.
  
• Medicare and Medicaid were established in 1965 - you've had 44 years to get it right; they are broke.
  
• Freddie Mac was established in 1970 - you have had 39 years to get it right; it is broke. 
• Trillions of dollars were spent in the massive political payoffs called TARP, the "Stimulus", the Omnibus Appropriations Act of 2009... none show any signs of working, although ACORN appears to have found a new b***h: the American taxpayer.
• And finally, to set a new record:  "Cash for Clunkers" was established in 2009 and went broke in 2009! It took good dependable cars (that were the best some people could afford) and replaced them with high-priced and less-affordable cars, mostly Japanese. A good percentage of the profits went out of the country. And the American taxpayers take the hit for Congress' generosity in burning three billion more of our dollars on failed experiments.

So with a perfect 100% failure rate and a record that proves that "services" you shove down our throats are failing faster and faster, you want Americans to believe you can be trusted with a government-run health care system?

Listening to the news....no matter what channel....it seems to be an absolute that the house & senate are going to pass some sort of healthcare takeover by the government.

WHY? Can these idiots in the house/senate have not been listening to all the discussions, protests, pleas, begging, etc. that has taken place since April 15, 2009? Are they really & truly that deaf?

Short answer: YES
Long answer: YES

For far too long, & yes I was once one of these people, WE THE PEOPLE have gone to the polls & elected people that we actually thought were working for us. Then I went back to my life -- raising children, participating in the community, being a person with a busy life. And now I have woken up & am really truly angry at what Ron Kind & Russ Feingold have/haven't done for Wisconsin. I am truly angry for Texas as I experience Sylvestre Reyes & Kay Bailey-Hutchinson for the same reasons, what they have/haven't done. And I am spending a lot of time here in Texas with my Dad since my Mother died, so I know.


WE THE PEOPLE have been complacent too long. We have abrogated our responsibilities to people who -- shock of shocks -- are only interested in lining their own pockets. And before you want to take me to task for that last statement, look at the reality of someone who makes less than $200,000 per year & yet becomes a millionaire within a few years of being elected.They are happily bought & paid for by lobbyists. Their family members are bought & paid for by lobbyists. I'm sure it doesn't stop with lobbyists, but this is just the most obvious route to their making BIG money.

AND WE HAVE ALLOWED IT. WE HAVE LOOKED THE OTHER WAY. WE HAVE PRETENDED THEY WOULD ACTUALLY DO WHAT THEY SAID DURING CAMPAIGNS. WE HAVE WATCHED AS THEY WALK OVER US BECAUSE WE ELECTED THEM, THEN LAY DOWN & WROTE 'WELCOME' ACROSS OUR COLLECTIVE FOREHEAD. 

It is past time to hold them accountable. They need to become regular people again. No monies other than salary & they must get approval from WE THE PEOPLE before voting more raises & perks. They must participate in the Social Security System & Medicare -- no more of the 'mercedes benz' coverage they have & the lifetime of full salary. Enough is enough. It is time they are exempt from no laws that govern WE THE PEOPLE. 

Lying was easy for the pols. Now reality is here. The Giant will not be going back to sleep now. Politicians had better face the reality they are messing up, have messed up, & no amount of chit-chat, franking letters, emails, will make up for the mess they have made & now want to pretend does not exist.

It is past time.

WAKE UP. GET INVOLVED. PAY ATTENTION. BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR YOUR VOTES. 

Once that happens, maybe, just maybe, WE THE PEOPLE will have a chance for a government that listens to it's people & is fair & equitable; a government living/breathing/abiding by the Constitution & the Bill of Rights.


I just hope it happens before this current house/senate causes a civil war. Because that truly is what will happen if these people in congress keep trying to step on WE THE PEOPLE.

The 'Sleeping Giant' has been awakened. And, really, it's about time. Now the catch will be to get the Giant in a good mood. I don't believe this congress can do that....they have gone too far, too fast, with too little thought of what WE THE PEOPLE wanted/expected from them.

More confusion....

Okay....let me get these items straight:

1. the 'health care plan' the house of reps passed provided for 'end of life' counseling mandatory every 5 years OR yearly (or more often) if the patient has chronic or terminal illnesses. Now that is supposed to be out of the bill. Is it? This very personal decision should be made by the patient with their family, not someone who is to benefit, i.e. the doctor & the government.
   
2. the money to support this plan STRIPS Medicare/Medicare Advantage/Medicaid & this, plus more taxes on those who make over $250,000 per year.
3. there will be no rationing even though funds will be limited & the age of the patient will be a hugely determining factor in decisions of care offered/provided.

7. house of reps & senators who are on break & were not willing to face constituents right now & have simply put an end to their own careers as reps or senators; lobbying will be where they will all go though as has always been done in the past.
8. illegal aliens WILL be counted in the census - as though they are full-fledged citizens. WHY?
9. Mexico is complaining about the U.S. deporting illegals back to Mexico & wants us to stop it because it causes too many problems; we are IDIOTS if we give in to this!!!!!
10. Illegal aliens in the U.S. send 30 to 50 BILLION dollars back home to Mexico every year; but pay no income taxes even though they are using public services: health care (yep), schools, etc. Yes, IF they buy something, they pay sales tax, but that's it.
    
11. When illegal aliens get credit cards or loans for college, homes or whatever, when they stop paying them, there is no going after them or tracing them or tracking them down. So, again it comes back on the American TAXPAYER.
    
12. Every developed country in the world tracks every immigrant. Overstay your 'school visa' & they hunt you down, jail you, fine you & deport you. At YOUR expense. We do less than nothing.
13. Politicians have exempted not only themselves (& family) from the 'public option' of the proposed health care, UNIONS are getting to keep their health care & here's the kicker: it will ALL be paid, especially thru retirement, by the TAXPAYER.
14. Nancy Pelosi says protesters of the 'health care' bill are carrying swastika signs. What she left out was that there was ONE sign that had a swastika on it with a circle drawn around it & slash thru it -- indicating, sanfran-nan -- NOT nazis. Someone should educate this stupid woman. Unfortunately, she is stupid by CHOICE; ignorant people are willing to learn - stupid people are not. She defines the NOT side of the previous statement. Of course, it is not the first time she has lied. And it won't be the last.
15. Last, but absolutely not least, what is with these senators & reps inserting new amendments & garbage into bills immediately before they are to be voted on? Our senators & reps already admit they do not read the bills (no time?) but have others on their staffs peruse bills & then give them a condensed version of what a bill is about. The elected person then decides to vote/not vote/vote 'present' when the bill comes up. This is not what we hired - elected - them to do. No company in the world would work like this, yet we have been complacent & allowed these people to get away with this for a very long time.
    
    WHAT IS THE NEXT INDUSTRY THE POTUS & COMPANY ARE GOING TO TARGET? Thus far, they are trying to take over banking, credit card companies, car companies, mainstream media outlets (Fox is not falling in line with them though & it is driving them all to distraction) education (aka indoctrination) of our children & now, health care.

My 24 year old son asked "why does it have to be so much about black & white? I feel like people can't stand up for themselves because they are afraid they will come off as a racist. I want a president. Not a media star 'trying' to be president. Quit promising things & going out on dates with taxpayers money & DO SOMETHING. All he has done is spend more money. And the unemployment has still gone up."

Pretty smart young man. He has it right -- I am so sick of the RACIST label when anyone DARES to even ask a question or disagree with this POTUS or Congress.

People are now tuning out the RACIST rants & garbage of that ilk because it is said over & over & now people are numb to it. People in general are sick of being called names simply for asking questions. Yes, there ARE racists in America. But they are the MINORITY of the population, not the majority this administration is trying desperately to make people believe.

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. It is time to evict every senator or house rep. They have screwed us so bad that even the good ones need to be gone. No more cushy, lucrative lobbyist jobs, no more lifetime retirement packages, no more lifetime excellent healthcare as they work to remove what the rest of us have.

Fair is fair. They can live with Social Security as their retirement. They can try to figure out how to pay medical bills not covered by the 'cadillac' plans they now have. If all this stuff is so damn GOOD for the people. they need to be on it also.

Recall, fire, evict every one of them. It is time. Actually, it is way past the expiration date to recall, fire, &/or evict every single senator & rep. Their time is up. Move aside. Time for new blood.

They cannot possibly screw things up worse than this administration & congress are doing.

so much buzzing .....

Tonight I was watching a program that hosted it's own 'townhall meeting' with ordinary people. There was no prescreening & the split wound up being actually more voted for bho than mccain yet a large majority were definitely opposed to the government taking over health care. More importantly, I waited & was not disappointed to see I was right.....the 'blame it all on Bush' card was played, the war was illegal, this prez is right, this is our savior no matter what others think, etc.

Yet, stroll around with your eyes wide open. The issues on the table - there are many - are serious, in some cases extremely so. What I want to do is try to open your eyes if you are thinking I am a hardcore republican who bashes democrats for the sake of bashing -- which is definitely NOT the case. This country is way beyond republican vs. democrat, liberal vs. conservative, white vs. (all other) color. So, let's wander & while doing so, imagine what the ACLU would be doing if this were a republican as prez or a republican-controlled senate or house. Strangely, they & their ilk remain silent, only confirming what most of the 'ordinary' people believe: the ACLU is only concerned with a political ideology - democrat = good, republican = evil.

Let's stroll:

• Jan. 6, 2009 Rep. Jose Serrano (D-NY), an obvious Obama fan, is proposing (H.J.Res. 5) "an amendment to the Constitution of the United States to repeal the twenty-second article of amendment, thereby removing the limitation on the number of terms an individual may serve as President.
• Rep. Sheila Jackson-Lee (D-TX) is proposing a bill (HR 73), "To provide for the collection of data on traffic stops."
• almost every bill -- especially the PORK -- includes the tag line: "for other purposes." What does that mean? That the money can be used for many other things that may or may not have any bearing whatsoever on what the bill was originally intended to do.
• Because states are unlikely to agree to the 'Real I.D. Act' introduced in 2005, it has been replaced with the 'Pass I.D. Act'. Altho you may be tempted to believe this will be better, it is absolutely not. In fact, there is a provision in it that scares the hell out of me: the PASS ID Act gives the Secretary of Homeland Security "unreviewable discretion" to issue driver's licenses and state ID cards under the Minimum Issuance Standards Section (c)(2)(B) "Evidence of Lawful Status" items (v), (xii), as well as under Section (C) Temporary Drivers Licenses and Identification Cards item (i). The term "unreviewable discretion" raises questions about the definition of this term as it relates to oversight, privacy protections, and judicial review. Everyone in this country will be required to have this I.D. within a year of passage of the final bill. Otherwise, you will be unable to board an airplane, apply for Social Security, etc. Now, does this sound good to you? Why isn't the ACLU screaming? Why isn't the MSM jumping up & down? Could it be because both have such a double standard: one for republicans & one for democrats.
• TRANSPARENCY. There is none. In fact, less than none. But, I'll explain that remark later. For now, think back to all the campaigning: every bill would be posted for 5 days minimum so the public could read it, comment, approve, etc. BEFORE it was voted on. Not only has that not happened, the bills that have been passed contain so much language that has nothing to do with the actual basis for the original bill, it is ridiculous. No bill has been posted & given the 'light of day' before being voted on & it doesn't look like that will happen anytime soon. *Now that the public is coming out in droves to question, discuss, protest, object, approve, whatever, the 'Obama Health Care Plan' the House of Representatives PASSED, why is the President saying now that we don't even HAVE a bill? Exactly what were the Reps voting on then? We all can read what they voted on but are now being told by the highest office holder in the country that there really IS no bill. So, again, I ask: what did they vote on? I have read it (the house of reps version) & it certainly reads like a bill, has a number like a bill, was introduced as legislation, & yes, VOTED on in the House of Representatives. They approved THAT bill. So, again, why does bho think there is no bill?
• If Medicare & Medicaid have $500 Million every year in false claims, why hasn't that been corrected? It has been known forever. Yet, many of the same ones are in congress - so why, after all their meetings & investigations, etc., - why haven't they fixed the problems? Could it be because they do not know the first thing about how businesses should run because they do not have any real world experience?
  
• Terrorists captured in enemy combat situations are to be Mirandized. Why? Gitmo detainees are going to be moved into the U.S. Why? They will be given taxpayer-funded lawyers & all rights of American citizens. Why? When has ANY country given our soldiers the same kind of treatment? What can the administration people be thinking? Playing to the ultra-liberals with this card will only serve to alienate more 'ordinary' Americans. You know - those bothersome voters that were handy in November but now are useless unless they go along with whatever the administration wants.
• After making backroom deals with the AARP, pharmaceutical companies, & AMA (doctors) to not take away any more than they have already agreed to 'give up', these groups in concert with George Soros (in this case call him the 5 Million Dollar Man), plan to flood commercials into our homes praising the 'Obama' plan. Basically, it is 'the taxpayer be damned, we're going to be ok' as the philosophy of the entities.
• Rich people typically did not get that way by being stupid or gullible. Therefore, they are doing everything they can to move their companies, plants, & (of course) money out of the purvue of bho & cohorts. There is only so much you can slam them before they simply say 'enough is enough'. Workers can be had cheaper in other countries. Plants can be built with help from governments of other countries because it will be THEIR citizens who benefit from the jobs. Materials will be acquired & life will go on. But, American citizens will still be out of work with little hope of finding a job of any kind.
  
• There was a firm promise that NO ONE MAKING UNDER $250,000 would see their taxes raised. I guess letting the tax cuts expire doesn't count. Now, finding that the country simply cannot sustain the spending of this prez & congress, taxes will have to be raised on just about everyone. They were going up anyway because of the cuts expiring, but now the double whammy will be to add to that. I believe they will.
• I am disgusted Bush signed the TARP bill. I was against it from the beginning. Now tho, bho is trying to push all the blame off on Bush when the deficit comes up. What? Are you kidding? bho & congress are spending money that can maybe never be repaid. What Bush did was wrong (IMHO) but to justify his own actions, bho points to that even tho the first bailout he signed was "only" 800 BILLION dollars. Since then, there has been more & more until we are now in the hole for over 1.4 TRILLION. FYI bho - when you are in a hole, STOP DIGGING! Now he is talking about a 2nd bailout. As far as I am concerned, it would be number 3 for bailouts: 1 Bush, 2 bho, 3 bho.
  
• Fair warning so you cannot say you were not warned: people are fed up with the spending. As bho & his cohorts jet around the country, around the world, all the while telling us little peons to conserve, cut back, etc., should another bailout be shoved thru, the anger people feel about government taking over the health care industry would pale in comparison to the anger expressed with another spending bill. Even doing it in the dead of night will not make it smoother. It will be the final straw & I believe there will be many many Recall Petitions that begin & will go thru. Many now in congress will find themselves out in the cold. The new group will be watched like ants under a magnifying glass.
